The 2nd annual fundraising event dedicated to “Baraka (blessings)” will be held at Mateo & 7th Gallery in Los Angeles, California, September 18th, 2022 — this nationally televised event will raise funds to aid refugee women and children offering donations to two noteworthy organizations making international impact: the Bayat Foundation and Global Empowerment Mission.

According to UNHCR and UNICEF, in the first months of 2022, more than 100 million people were displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict, violence, or human rights violations 50 percent of these refugees being women and children under the age of 18.

In countries like Afghanistan, there is a consequential impact of this humanitarian crisis particularly on women and girls who make up 80 percent of these displaced refugees.
